Brass Adapters
Using CA360 brass material stock, Hydraulics Direct supplies high quality brass fittings for hydraulic applications. Our brass adapters can be used in applications where low to medium pressures exist in the fluid lines. Applications involving water, refrigeration fluids, instrumentation controls, greases, fuels, LP and natural gas are well suited for brass adapters.

NPTF
Brass adapter hydraulic fittings use a NPT (National Pipe Tapered) thread that seals when the male taper mates with the female taper.
SAE 45 Degree
SAE 45° JIC brass adapter fittings have a 45° cone seat on the female adapter & a 45° flare on the male adapter.
Compression
Flareless compression brass adapter fittings can be used with a wide variety of tubing.
Push Lock Barb
Our Brass Push Lock Hose Barb fittings do not require clamps or ferrules to install. These fittings are ideal for low pressure applications.
Air Brake
These Brass Air Brake fittings are designed for use on truck and bus compressed air brake systems, and are DOT approved.
British & Metric
Hydraulics Direct supplies a wide variety of brass adapters. These brass fittings use British & Metric thread.
Air Brake (Copper Tubing)
Brass Air Brake fittings are designed for use on truck and bus compressed air brake systems are are plumbed with copper tubing. Our Air Brake Copper Tubing fittings are DOT approved.
Inverted Flare
Brass Inverted Flare fittings are designed with an internal seal that allows for tighter tube bends. Because the seal in internal, the threads are protected and provide excellent vibration resistance.
JIC
Our Brass JIC fittings are machined with a 37° flare seat. Both male and female JIC fittings have a 37° seat, and the seal take place between the flare flare and the female cone seat. The threads of the two fittings hold the connection mechanically.
Poly-Tube
Our Brass Poly-Tube fittings are a type of compression fitting designed to be used with plastic tubing. The nut will rotate around the sleeve as it tightens, to prevent twisting and weakening of the plastic tubing. Poly-Tube fittings can be assembled a
Push-In Air Brake
Brass Push-In Air Brake fittings are recommended for air brake systems that do not exceed 200° F, or where battery acid can drip on tubing. These fittings are not for use with assemblies that convey fuel, water, or oil.
Threaded Sleeve
Brass Threaded Sleeve fittings are self-flaring. During the tightening of the nut, a wedge-shaped sleeve presses against the tubing end to create a flare. These fittings work best on thin-walled tubing where high torque is not required to produce a fla
