NPT Fittings
NPTF (National Pipe Tapered Fuel) thread seals when the male taper mates with the female taper, crushing the thread and creating a mechanical lock. It is recommended to use Teflon tape or pipe thread sealant to prevent leakage. Pipe NPT fittings are uniform across most manufacturers and are equivalent to fittings from Parker Hydraulics, Eaton Aeroquip, Weatherhead, Goodyear, and Gates Hydraulics.
